It’s so hard to find a good fantasy book that you love all the main characters, but I loved each one of the main characters. The story was easy to follow and read. I have so many questions and mixed emotions about what happened in the end and can’t wait to read the next two!!
I fell in love with Avah and Cyerra in the Reluctant Royals series. I love how Cyerra’s personality and relationships develop in this book. Also getting to meet the men who have so many secrets and layers to uncover. And the cliffhanger… OMG I can’t wait for the next book to come out. And the glossary in the beginning was a game changer. All books should have this.

I LOVED this book! The banter, the world-building, the twists, everything was pure perfection👌 Even if you haven’t read The Reluctant Royals series, Avah does an amazing job giving enough background to catch you up without feeling lost.
This story dives deep into Cyerra’s character and is filled with action and betrayal (my absolute favorite part 👀). The ending? I both loved and hated it, because I JUST WANT MORE. Avah, how could you do me dirty like that with that end!!!
I will say, personally I am not a loren-stan, cannot stand the man, but all the other characters like Loki and Vidare have my heart.
Now, if you’re looking for page-melting spice, this one leans lighter. What it does deliver is tension, innuendos, and banter so sharp it makes you itch for the next page. 🌶️🥵 BUTTTT I am very hopeful there will be a little more for book 2, pretty please.
If you're into romantasy, that shocks you to your absolute core at the end, this one is for you!
Honestly, this was one of my top reads of the year. I can’t wait to read more, and in the meantime, I’ll be diving into the Reluctant Royals series to keep me immersed in this world!
Phenomenal High Fantasy Reverse Harem Romance. Sarah J Maas meets Marie Mistry, this book has everything. Badass, strong female main character? Check. Variety of love interests with different personalities and attributes? Check. Medium burn and medium spice with the extensive plot that typically accompanies high fantasy. I love love loved this. The first chapters of the book took me longer to read than usual, but I find this with most high fantasy due to the lore and world building being quite in depth. If you struggle to get into the swing of things reading this, keep going! It's such a fantastic story, brilliant character development and a gripping plot with thrilling action scenes and mystery elements. I cannot wait for the next in the series to come out. LOVED IT SO MUCH IM ORDERING A PAPERBACK FOR MY SHELF 😍
