An excellent second book. The action, intrigue, and pace keep flowing right through from book one. This is not a filler book. It’s smart and keeps your questions rolling. Although I was invested in the FMC in book one, the development of the other characters in book two has me rooting for all of them. With another shocking final scene, I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
Absolutely loved this book. It’s book two in the faes unkindness series and follows along from the first book.
In this instalment Cyerra is faced with more challenges and obstacles to overcome and her men are there for her where they can be. There is lots of character development from the first book especially with the guys. They’re a lot more likeable and feel more complex than the first book which was a lovely surprise. You feel more connected to each of them and Cyerra herself while you’re reading.
This story is filled with new questions and of course swoon worthy moments. The writing is exceptional and flows smoothly, you don’t feel lost while reading and get sucked in to the story line. You are never not feeling something while you’re reading. The spice has increased a bit from the first book but it’s worked well into the plot and doesn’t deter from the story.

If I thought book 1 was epic book 2 was a complete mind blow. The Puca’s Treachery is a continuation of The Faes Unkindness and the quest Cyerra, and her men are on to help find a cure to the ailing queen Rhowyn.
This book has a lot more character development than book 2, which I really enjoyed, because we not only get a better understanding of each of the characters, but the why behind the decisions they’ve made and the ones they’ll continue to make. I absolutely loved the imagery in this book and was so excited we got to journey into The Wilds. While the first half of the book centers around rescuing a captured Cyerra and building up the relationship between the other MMC’s the second half is a complete wild ride and when it kicks off you better hold on tight, because I swear, I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what was coming next.
While this book is a bit spicier than the first again the scenes were really well placed and really well written.
I cannot wait to see where Avah takes us in The Alfar’s Conspiracy.
